The Day of Folk held in Countesthorpe Village Hall on Saturday, 27 February 2010 was was sponsored by grants from Voluntary Action Leicestershire and Voluntary Action Blaby.
It was a huge success. The evening dance and many of the workshops were filled to capacity. A total of around 125 people attended overall and all the reports from participants and workshop leaders alike were full of enthusiasm: “Lovely day” “Lots of variety and interest” “Great fun all day” “Super event” “Excellent music, callers and venue” “Good value” “Well organised” “Good range of workshops and ages” “Very good administration of the day” “Good level of participation” “Great range of activities” “Excellent space and facilities” “Whole day was wonderful”
